- Searching for Patients
  Search for patients using a standard or advanced search, by swiping a patient's Medicare card or by name in the Patient Details window.

  Edit a patient's demographics, contact details, emergency contacts, and so on.

  - Adding Patients to the Waiting Room
    When a patient arrives at your practice, add them to the Waiting Room.

    When a patient arrives, review their contact details, mobile number, and opt them into receiving SMS messages if they grant permission.

Refreshing the Waiting Room

Manually refresh the Waiting Room so it displays recently added patients.

About this task

If the Waiting Room is open on multiple computers simultaneously, it can take a moment to refresh the display on each computer and display recently added patients.

Procedure

To refresh the Waiting Room:

Either:

Press Ctrl+R.
Select any other practitioner tab in the Waiting Room.
Select Waiting Room > Auto Refresh. When Auto Refresh is set, the Waiting Room list is refreshed regularly. By default, it is refreshed every 30 seconds but this can be changed (if required) via the Waiting Room tab of User Settings.
