Reports and Date Selection
MedicalDirector cannot advise which report is best for your practice. This is best discussed with your accountant.
If you are intending on conducting comparisons between different Reports, ensure the date types are the same. Reports based on one Date Selection cannot be compared to Reports/Day Sheets generated using a different Date Selection.
Once you choose to use a particular Date Selection, this must apply to all Reports produced when calculating financial information (including Day Sheets).
Producing Financial Reports - Date types to use
Entry Date and Report Date are the Date type that should be used to produce financial information, as all changes that are made are displayed on the day that the transaction was entered/batched or the day a change is made.
Producing Financial Reports - Date types not to use
Receipt Date or Visit Date should not be used for producing financial information as these reports can be altered by subsequent adjustments. It is for this reason that Report Date is the recommended Date Selection when calculating Practitioner's remuneration. If you choose to use the Visit Date or Receipt Date options, MedicalDirector Customer Service will not be able to assist you with resolving any suspected errors that arise using these reports. It is recommended that Visit Date or Receipt Date be used when producing statistical information.
All dates are inclusive. For example if you select 17/11/2005 as a From Date then it is 17/11/2005 from 00:00, if you select a To Date then this is to 17/11/2005 to 23:59.
