Searching Next Available Appointment Slots

Search for the next available appointment slot.

Procedure

  1. Open the Appointment module. Either:
    • Click Appointment Book.
    • Select Waiting Room > Appointment Book.
  2. If your practice uses multiple Appointment Books, select the Appointment Book you want to search. (Later, you can select an option to search all Appointment Books if you want to.)
  3. Click the preferred time slot in the date/time matrix. Pracsoft will search for the next available time slot that matches the one you select.
  4. Either:
    • Select Appointment > Find Next Unbooked Appointment.
    • Right-click the time slot and select Find Next Unbooked Appointment from the menu.
  5. In the Find Next Available Appointment window:
    • Select the practitioner you want to search for, or set Check All Practitioners to search for appointments with any practitioner.
    • Optionally, set Include non-patient appointments to include staff training sessions, visits by drug company representatives, and other non-patient appointments.
  6. Click Search. The next available appointment time slot is highlighted.
  7. (Optional) To search again with the same criteria, either:
    • Select > Appointment > Search Again, or
    • Press Shift+F2.

Results

The next available appointment time slot is highlighted in the date/time matrix.
