  - Prerequisites
    Before moving your MedicalDirector Pracsoft data to a new server, perform the prerequisite conditions.
  - On the Old Server
    Back up your data from the old server.
  - On the New Server
    Transfer your backed-up data to a new server and configure it.
  - On the Workstations
    After you have moved your data to a new server, configure your workstations.

Prerequisites

Before moving your MedicalDirector Pracsoft data to a new server, perform the prerequisite conditions.

Contact your System Administrator if you need assistance with the following:

External hard drive or other media for moving the data from the old server to the new server.
Ensure you have the latest full MedicalDirector Pracsoft disc or ISO release.
Ensure you have logged into Windows with local Administrative privileges.
Your MedicalDirector Pracsoft Store password, or Medicare Australia Location Certificate disc and PIC Passphrase.
If you participate in MedicalDirector GPRN you will need the MedicalDirector GPRN Installer.
If you use a Secure Message Delivery (SMD) service, contact your provider for assistance with reconfiguring the service.
If you receive investigations results electronically, contact your provider for assistance with reconfiguring the service.

Determine Your Installed Version of MedicalDirector Pracsoft

Open MedicalDirector Pracsoft.
Select Help > About and note the installed version.

Determine Your Installed Version of the MDref Drug Database

Open MedicalDirector Pracsoft.
Select Resources > What's New in MDref and note the Month (which indicates the installed version).
